Blue Stilton- Cow's Milk.
Stilton is still hand-made by master cheesemakers in a process which remains unchanged for countless years. The entire process takes about nine weeks in total - from milk to shelf. Of all of the most well-known varieties of blue cheese, Stilton has the lowest water content, the lowest salt content and the highest fat and protein content.
Can only be produced in
Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire and known as the ‘king of
cheese’.
Flavour Profile: Pungent, Earthy, Crumbly, Excellent for salads, salad dressings, and to coat meat before cooking.
