Applewood Smoked Cheddar

By: Cheese Secrets — Posted on September 10, 2010

Applewood Smoked Cheddar is produced on a large scale and has gained a popular fan base, due to its smoked flavor and delicious spices. Applewood smoked cheddar is a fairly dense semi-hard cheese. Applewood is not smoked, but is instead treated with an artificial smoke flavouring. The cheese is coated with mild paprika, giving it a golden-amber appearance. One of the top sellers at Cheese Secrets, we use it on our sandwiches paired with Greaves peach jam.
